Virtual Keyboard

from the leave-the-laptop-at-home dept

Over the last couple of years we've seen a number of portable keyboards released for PDAs. The latest one comes from Virtual Devices and instead of an actual keyboard their device projects a virtual keyboard on a flat surface. A camera tracks users hands to determine what they are typing. Sure it's neat but I wonder how practical any of these portable keyboards are. If you are on the go it can be hard to find a place to set up your PDA/keyboard PDA combo. Devices with integrated keyboards that one can use sitting in the airport lounge or in a cab seem more useful.

Not only weird, but looks very unusable.
