Does The Internet Change How People Learn?

from the what-year-is-this? dept

I could have sworn that I saw an identical article to this one maybe two or three years ago (but talking about a different university). It's an article about how students are using computers in the classrooms at UCLA. Basically, they're using it to instant message with their friends and surf the web, instead of doodling in their notebooks and/or falling asleep. I don't really see how what UCLA is doing is any different than just about any university. If they wanted to write about a university doing something new, then they should have looked at things like what American University is doing with wireless on campus.

This is almost identical to an article written over a year ago which I could actually retrieve from my jack9.org web news database if I was at home. If you REALLY want the article, who posted it, etc etc etc when it appeared in the Times (i think) or wherever, email me and I'll have it to you in 24 hours. Just my 2 cents.
