Defending The Long Boom
from the nice-try dept
Salon has an interview with the guy who wrote the book The Long Boom which predicted that we're in for two decades of economic expansion. Anyone who's read the news over the past couple of years might take issue with that prediction, but he's here saying that he was right all along (which he needs to say if he ever wants to sell another copy of the book) and this "shallow recession" is simply a little blip on the radar screen, which will eventually be ignored once we realize that the economy is still booming.
