mSoWhat?
from the just-watch-it-take-off dept
After months of speculation around what AT&T's take on i-Mode would look like, AT&T officially launched mMode today. Despite all the spin, it's really nothing new. It's basically Wireless Web/WAP for AT&T's limited, but growing, GSM/GPRS network. What is new is AT&T focus on usability and integration a la SprintPCS's wireless web offering. The pricing model is packet based, which users may find a bit intimidating until they better understand their own usage patters. But still lacking is i-Mode's secret sauce, third party billing. Will that be next?
