Red Herring (still without a "single page view" option) has a very interesting article all about the guy most people credit for getting the Xbox built within Microsoft. It was definitely quite a struggle involving lots of internal politics, though it does give you a good look at the way some things work within Microsoft. It seems that the article itself is just an excerpt from the soon to be released book, Opening the Xbox.
