The Entrepreneurial Culture
from the can-it-be-built? dept
When I was in business school, I was friends with a guy who had been sent to the school by the Japanese government. His goal was to learn about American entreprenuers and to figure out a way to export American entrepreneurial spirit to Japan. It was certainly a challenging task and I remember having a number of conversations with him about the different cultures in both places. Red Herring now has an article looking at the differences in entrepreneurial cultures in different locations around the world - and suggesting what attributes are common to all. While it may be a good blueprint, it strikes me that each "entrepreneurial culture" I can think of, has always done things a little differently - and added some sort of "local flavor" to make their system somewhat different than any other.
