CEOs Get Their Own Internet
from the just-for-them dept
We had mentioned this last month, but now it's official. CEOs of major companies in the US are going to get their own special network to connect them to each other and the government in case of an emergency. The system will be built by AT&T. They say it will be mostly phone based, but will have some internet capabilities as well. Some are questioning if such a thing is really necessary - or if it's just a better way for these big companies to get themselves more government contracts. I have nothing against the idea - but I do wonder how useful it will really be in case of an emergency.
