Telecom Sector Not Responding With Economy
from the not-yet dept
A new study suggests that the telecom industry isn't rebounding like most of the rest of the economy. Of course, this is entirely based on the number of job cuts in the industry - which isn't necessarily a sign of economic health. Plus, I tend to think that job cuts lag economic recovery. Finally, maybe it's a good thing that the telecom sector is cutting jobs. It seems that many of the companies simply over expanded when they had no reason to. In the long term, I'm not too worried about telecom.
