Novell Offered To Support Microsoft With A Little Help
from the ah,-backroom-deals dept
It seems that during the Microsoft anti-trust trial, Novell offered a "deal" to Microsoft. If they made it so that Novell's software worked better with MS products, then Novell would have written a letter saying that Microsoft had changed its tactics and was an upstanding corporate citizen, instead of a ruthless destroying monopoly (or something to that effect...). Not that I'm surprised that these sorts of offers get made, but it does make you wonder about the "tit-for-tat" deals that have been going on all along in this trial and how "honest" the testimony has been on all sides.
