Microsoft May Lose Windows Trademark
from the it's-about-time dept
A judge has refused to issue an injunction against Lindows in the trademark lawsuit that Microsoft has filed against them, saying there is little to no evidence that Microsoft will be harmed in the immediate future by letting Lindows keep their name. Even more interesting is that the ruling states that there are serious questions about the validity of Microsoft's trademark on the word "Windows. It would be somewhat amusing if this lawsuit that Microsoft brought up themselves, ended up in them losing the trademark for Windows.
