BT Linking Patent Suit Dealt A Blow
from the as-it-should dept
British Telecom continues to forge ahead with their ridiculous patent lawsuit saying they patented hyperlinks many years ago and then forgot all about it until recently. Despite the fact that just about every legal expert (and non-legal expert, for that matter) thinks they have no case, they won't stop because "everyone sues in the States, anyway". However, the judge, so far, has been giving strong hints ever since the case started that BT might want to rethink their decision to take this to court. Her latest ruling basically says that the patent it doesn't really look relevant. However, it looks like BT will continue suing because that's the thing to do.
