Implanting Chips For The Sake Of Art
from the art-or-publicity? dept
An artist in Canada has decided to implant biochips into her hands as a bit of body/performance art. She's going to set up her mouse to scan the chips and will use one hands to surf the web for "work" and the other hand for "recreational" use of the web, and will then compare the two. She'll also track her whereabouts. She bought the chips from a veterinarian (they're the kind used for tracking pets or cattle) and had to ask around a bit before finding a doctor who would implant them. I'm not sure, but this seems a lot more like a publicity stunt than art.
