Earth To Entertainment Execs: Don't Fear The Internet
from the it's-about-time dept
Maybe the mainstream business press is finally catching up to what many of us have been saying for years. The entertainment industry is shooting themselves in the foot by trying to make it illegal for their own customers to do what they want. Instead, the industry should be leading the charge to give customers what they want, because that's exactly what a good business does. This Business Week article says what we all (most of us, at least) seem to already realize. The music and movie industries are trying to get laws passed that make life worse for consumers. I can't see how that could possibly be good for business.
