eBay Buys Out Wells Fargo On BillPoint
from the watch-out-PayPal dept
eBay seems to be getting more serious about pushing PayPal out of business. They've bought out Wells Fargo's share of BillPoint so they now own the whole thing. This actually surprises me a bit, because I would imagine it helps to have a bank backing you up for such a service. One of the legal issues facing PayPal is whether or not they've created an illegal online bank. So, having a bank as an owner probably would help solve that issue.
