Microsoft Promising Too Much?

Would you believe it? Microsoft overhyped something they hadn't thought completely through. What a shocker. Apparently, folks at Microsoft feel that they've scared off enough competitors now to admit that they never really had much of a business plan for .Net, but just pretended they did. Now they're actually trying to figure out how they're going to make money off of it - and how they're going to convince other companies that it will help them make money too.
