Don't Give Up On Internet In The Sky Just Yet
from the the-internet-will-be-everywhere dept
Just because the three major airlines that had agreed to invest in Boeing's plan to bring the internet to the friendly skies bailed out, it doesn't mean that we'll never be surfing in the sky. Boeing's Connexion is still pushing forward, and still expects to make it possible to browse the web from 40,000 feet. They're focusing now on more military and security applications (after all, isn't everyone?), but are still moving forward with Lufthansa to test some internet in the sky applications on their planes.
