It's All About Market Share

Now that the technology slow down is in full swing and many companies are struggling to survive, there isn’t much focus on building new markets. Instead, everyone is trying to build up market share in existing markets, and shove out smaller competitors. SF Gate has an article looking at how some bigger companies (Intel, Cisco, Dell) are trying to fight the market share battle with smaller competitors. Price cuts seem to be a big part of it. Also, intimidation apparently works quite well in scaring off customers from dealing with smaller competitors.
