Microsoft/AOL Battle Moves Into Maps

from the map-this dept

Microsoft and AOL seem to love to fight with each other. The latest is Microsoft's decision to launch their own competing mapping service to AOL's MapQuest. The Microsoft service will be called MapPoint, and (of course) will run on .NET. They used the announcement to point out how much better MapPoint will be than MapQuest. The two companies are just like little kids sometimes, fighting on the playground.
