The Collapse Of Microstrategy
from the hubris dept
It's been almost two years, but the details behind the dramatic U-turn in the fortunes of Microstrategy are still fascinating. The Washington Post has a great behind-the-scenes article of what happened in the days leading up to and immediately after Microstrategy's admitting to "accounting irregularities" that basically destroyed the company. Not surprisingly, a lot of the article focuses on Michael Saylor and his reactions to the debacle (denial, anger... isn't there a path these are supposed to follow?). It looks like this is the first article in a series.
