US Imposes Sanctions On Ukraine For CD Piracy

That means that US would refuse to buy $75 worth of stuff (including metals, textiles, footwear, etc.) that so far has been coming from Ukraine. Local lobbyists heavily criticized U.S. position on this issue, implying that US companies are out to kill the CD production in Ukraine as an industry. Of course, no event like this would be ignored by good ole RIAA who issued a press-release, fully supporting US government decision." By the way, that second link is in a language which I'm guessing is Russian, which I don't speak... My attempt at using Babelfish to translate it failed, so I have no idea what it says, but I'll trust Alex on this one.

Sanction them and other countries for spam
The subject line says it all. I support the anti-piracy sanctions and wish the government would sanction countries for harboring spam relays.
Now I do NOT support RIAA for their unrealistic stance on fair use. I should be able make copies of the disks that I buy, but I should not be allowed to sell them.
