A good NY Times article about the rise of "silver bullet-ism", where people are looking for technology to suddenly show up and make us all safe from terrorists. There are obvious problems with this. For instance, this new focus on safety through technology forgets that there simply isn't any single technology solution that solves all of our problems. There never has been, and there never will be. People who are only relying on technology are going to find themselves very disappointed. However, it won't stop companies from trying to sell their half-baked technology solutions to a paranoid public...
