Mobile Phones Make Us More Like Apes

This one seems like a bit of a stretch. I guess anthropologists in need of an analogy can come up with just about anything. Now, they're saying that humans using mobile phones to gossip is the equivalent of apes grooming each other. I have no doubt that many activities humans do are ape-like and hard-wired into us genetically. However, talking on a mobile phone doesn't seem like one of those things.
