Domain Resolution Company Quits In Protest

from the good-for-them dept

As if the domain arbitration case we talked about earlier wasn't enough evidence one of the four firms that handles domain name arbitrations has said they're getting out of the business because it favors corporations over individuals. The way it works is that the complainant (usually the big corporation) gets to pick the arbitration firm they want - and so they only pick the ones that seem to overwhelmingly favor the corporation. So, a company that tries to be fair doesn't get any business. Of course, this isn't a really altruistic "protest". They're quitting because they're just not getting any business out of domain disputes, since no one will pick them.
