Yahoo To Sell DSL
from the we'll-try-anything... dept
Yahoo seems to be announcing all sorts of new initiatives as they get ready for their analysts' meeting tomorrow. The latest is that they'll be offering DSL through SBC. Looks like they're moving a little more towards an AOL-style strategy. Of course, Yahoo! has made deals with ISPs before that haven't really done very well, but back then they didn't have Terry Semel as CEO. For it to really work, they would need to promote it quite a bit, and it's unclear if they're willing to do so. Updated: This article suggest this is really the first step towards a possible merger between SBC and Yahoo.
