Men No Longer Necessary

It seems that those of us who are of the male gender are not really needed much any more. We may even be in danger of extinction. We have shorter life expectancy, higher rates of major diseases, and we also have more issues with alcoholism, mid-life crises, depression, anger, substance abuse, and violence. Now that there are spermbanks, same sex marraiges, cloning and in-vitro fertilization, the "need" for men is going away. I swear this reads like an article from the Onion or an April Fools joke. I don't think I would be surprised if Professor Seigfried Meryn turns out to be someone like well known media-prankster, Joey Skaggs. However, you would think that the British Medical Journal would check out these things before running with them, so maybe it is real.
