Console Promotions Kick Into Overdrive
from the cat-food,-spam,-and-chocolate-syrup? dept
As both the XBox and the GameCube get ready to launch for the holiday season, both are rolling out all sorts of bizarre promotions to get people hyped up about them. The weirdest has to be Nintendo's contest to see to what lengths desperate people would go to get themselves a GameCube. Three finalists are competing to win that competition - with one of them eating a replica of the GameCube made out of spam, cat food and chocolate syrup. Seems a bit extreme for a gaming console you could just go buy for a few hundred bucks in a couple of weeks.
