Hacker Jailed For Sewage Attacks
from the ick dept
Many hackers who break into systems don't do any real damage other than make a nuisance of themselves. However, one Australian hacker broke into the sewage system and caused all sorts of problems after he was turned down for a job. Of course, at the time he already worked for the company that installed the computer system for the sewage control, so it probably wasn't a particularly difficult hack. However, as a result of his actions, raw sewage spilled out into local parks and rivers. Seems like a somewhat extreme reaction to getting turned down for a job.
