China Unblocks Again

from the follow-the-bouncing-ball... dept

China's policy on blocking access to western news sites has a lot of people very confused. First, last month, they unblocked a bunch of sites. That only lasted for a few days until they were reblocked - causing some people to think the unblocking was an accident. Now, however, it appears that many news sites are unblocked again, including CNN, who both reported this story, and was never unblocked during the last unblocking. Am I the only person who pictures someone sitting in the "office of censorship" or whatever it is, with a list of sites each day with little checkboxes next to them and for fun picks which ones are blocked and which ones are unblocked each morning.

Nope, you're not the only one. I'm starting
to get ticked that 1 day I can access some
site then 2 hours later I can't, then a week
    later I can.

None of the choices to block make sense to
    me at all.
