Which Digit To Use?

from the seems-complex dept

An interesting article about a small company that is working on a different sort of solution for inputting text into a mobile phone. They want to distinguish between the different fingers you have so that each performs a different task. So, if you want an "A", you press "2" with your index finger. If you want "C", you use your thumb. Of course, this seems like it will cause an additional layer of complexity that is unlikely to make things any easier. Still is an interesting idea, though. They also talk about other uses such as making it easier to use touchpads or game controllers, depending on which fingers you use to do what.
