The Green ISP
from the hype-or-substance dept
Last week we pointed out that being environmentally friendly can help businesses be more profitable. Can it help get customers too? That's the goal of a new eco-friendly ISP that will donate a portion of all monthly fees to the environmental cause of your choice. This reminds me of the Onion article from a few years ago (which I can't seem to find) talking about how the company Working Assets had saved the world... Of course, people are wondering how any small ISP can survive these days, but by making it a niche player with a fiercely loyal customer base, and a community built around that base, they might be on to something.
