I've heard from multiple friends in NYC that there's a "healthy pickup scene" at all of the various memorial services and shrines throughout the city. Salon even had an article about "terror sex" - people sleeping together just because they didn't want to be alone following the events of September 11. So, is it any surprise that business at online dating sites is up in the weeks following the attacks?
