HBO Teams Up With Salon.com
from the going-outside-the-corporate-parent dept
HBO has teamed up with Salon.com to turn some of their articles into TV or film adaptations. It's an interesting deal for both companies. It's odd for HBO (a part of AOL-Time Warner) since it's going outside the AOL-TW family to find this content. It's smart for Salon, because it shows how they're looking towards different methods of making money. Salon, of course, is still in trouble (even if they claim they're not), so it will be interesting to see how well this deal works out.
