A good analysis in Business Week about how last week's events could impact the economy. Mostly, they're talking about how increased public-sector spending will affect the rest of the economy. It's funny to see politicians who kept talking about smaller and smaller government suddenly agree to huge spending packages. The article points out that this is likely to hurt productivity, and risks making the US a very secure country, but with a very stagnant economy.
