Security Experts Shutting Down Web Sites: Fear Or Protest?
from the will-it-make-a-difference? dept
Some "security experts" have been pulling their websites off the internet lately, saying they don't want to go to jail like Dmitry. While it appears there really isn't much of a threat against these folks, it might be a good way to protest and draw some attention to the DMCA (which is partly why I'm posting it here). Of course, I'm not sure that such protests have much of an effect on anything, so it could just be a wasted effort.
