Fry's Really Going To Buy Outpost... Probably

from the don't-hold-your-breath dept

Remember all the craziness about just who was really going to buy Outpost.com and Egghead.com? Well, now it seems pretty likely (but not definite yet) that Fry's really will be buying Outpost.com (maybe), and they may still buy Egghead.com as well (why stop at one failing computer e-tailer when you can have two?). I'm still wondering how Fry's is going to transfer their notoriously surly customer service to the web.

My experience of customer service via the web indicates that Fry's is the model for online customer service. (I.e. just piss of and ignore someone and they'll go away.)

Ah. That goes well with this demotivator print I have hanging on my wall.

"If We Don't Take Care Of The Customer, Maybe They'll Stop Bugging Us."
