The XP Invasion Begins
from the feeling-guilty dept
The invasion of Windows XP is beginning. Microsoft is giving out XP to computer manufacturers today, and it should be available to buy within two months. Wired is running a review of it that is a little different that most reviews. For the most part, they say, the software is fine. The improvements aren't really that big of a deal - beyond the increased stability (which is certainly nice). However, the thing that annoys them is it makes them feel guilty using it. It tries so hard to push other Microsoft products that you can't help but feel you're helping Microsoft push everyone else out and build up their monopoly.
