Internet Gives Cancer Patients More Say In Their Treatment
from the stop-trusting-that-doctor dept
A new study has shown that (especially in the US), cancer patients increasingly turn to the internet to "take ownership" of the disease. They search out new and different treatments and take on additional responsibilities to try to help them beat the illness. I think this is definitely a good thing (though, can certainly be abused by some). However, when someone's life (especially your own, or a loved one) is at stake, there's no reason why you shouldn't do everything possible to get yourself the best treatment.
