Investors Are Clueless
from the this-is-a-surprise? dept
Is it any surprise that most investors are completely and totally clueless? A telephone survey of individual investors that involved a five question quiz about basics every investor should know had 80% of those asked get three or more questions wrong. Ouch. It seems that investors don't know how to deal with problem brokers, they don't use limit orders, and they don't understand at all how buying on margin works. And these people wonder why they're losing all their money?
