GPRS Is Too Expensive
from the bad-way-to-start dept
So, wireless carriers need to recoup their expenses for 2.5G and 3G networks. However, if they charge ridiculous amounts, it's unlikely many people at all will sign up - meaning they won't recoup anything. So what are they doing? They're (apparently) charging too much. Oh well. My guess is that the pricing schemes will start to change as consumers make it clear that they're not going to pay $1,500 per 100MB downloaded.
