Music Retailers Not Happy With Label Web Plans

Not a big surprise here, but it seems that music retailers are sort of pissed off at music labels, who are basically doing an end run around them with their online music plans. When the labels start selling music downloadable directly from their own websites, where do the music retailers fit in? Of course, while I'm not a big fan of the music labels, my first response is that that's the music retailers' problem. Maybe they should have jumped on the chance to create better retailing experiences that included downloadable music when they had the chance...

    Well, yeah, if they were allowed to... In store CD burning (mix & match) kiosks were thought of, and quashed by the RIAA (what a coincidence?) nearly 10 years ago...
