Why Apple Should Not Get Back Into The Handheld Market
from the they-don't-know-what-they're-doing dept
An article over at Business Week suggesting that Apple would be in over its head if it tried to re-enter the handheld market - even if it's by buying Palm or Handspring. The writer suggests that Apple simply doesn't know how to sell a handheld, and should concentrate on its core markets. Of course, I'm not really sure that's true. Just because the Newton never really caught on (beyond a core group of loyal fans) doesn't mean they simply can't sell a handheld. I would think that Apple might, in fact, be a lot more creative in coming out with a better design for a handheld than most of the current designs out there.
