The Music Revolution Will Not Be Digitized

from the how-quickly-consumers-lose-out dept

A good look by Salon at the current (non) state of the internet music business. It's mostly been co-opted by the major labels, and this basically means that consumers are going to lose out. The "online digital music revolution" never happened - and now it might never happen. On a somewhat related note, the NY Times is running an article suggesting (and no, this isn't surprising) that the RIAA might not have much of a case against Aimster. Of course, some people said the same thing about Napster and look where they are today.
