Self-Fulfilling Prophecies Or Prediction?

Last week, we found an article stating more information can lead to happier people. So wouldn't it be great if some of that information were the ability to predict the stock market? This reminds me of the movie Pi... mostly in that I don't believe the assumption that any chaotic system can be forecast to any satisfying degree....
