Yet Another Tell All Book

Well, here comes yet another "tell all" book of behind the scenes at a dot com. This one comes from former Lycos CEO Bob Davis and tells about how CMGI's David Wetherell screwed him over. Well, not in those words specifically, but more or less that's what it appears to say. Wetherell had a lot of influence over Lycos's sale and tried to make sure that CMGI got special agreements out of any deal. It's also interesting to hear that after Wetherell forced Lycos to give up their merger with USA Networks (after he had originally pushed for it) by saying the price was too low, he offered to have CMGI buy Lycos for even less. Quite a negotiating tactic.
