Jupiter Says Online Groceries Won't Last

from the now-they-tell-us dept

Jupiter has come out with a report pointing out that that the online grocery business has very little chance of surviving because the delivery costs are too high and the margins are too low. Now they tell us? Of course, this is what many people have been saying for years, but Jupiter apparently decided to wait until almost all the online grocery stores already ran themselves into the ground before it was time to actually do such a study. That's very useful. Now might be a good time to come out with a report showing that the web is a lot more useful than gopher.
