Aimster Goes On The Offensive
from the publicity-stunt dept
Aimster has decided to just go ahead and sue the RIAA rather than wait and talk to them. They claim that the RIAA has filed a lawsuit against them as well. This appears to just be a publicity stunt in line with some of their other recent publicity stunts (who knew that "pimping out your daughter" was good for a tech business?). While the program itself is cool (though buggy) the hype that the guy behind it has been generating makes me wonder. They recently changed their "story" to suggest that the daughter, Aimee (who until recently was known as Madeleine) really created the program even though she doesn't do any programming. Having a "story" is good, but when it changes a few months into the process to get publicity, you have to wonder...
