The Return Of Smartcards

Every few months over the past however many years someone comes out with a story suggesting that smart cards are the next big thing in the US. Then, a few months later, there aren't any smart cards and everyone forgets the whole thing. Well, here's the latest article telling us that smart cards are in our future. One of these days someone might actually be right, but I won't believe it until I see lots of people using them.
