3Com Offering Audrey Refunds Secretly
from the useless-devices dept
3Com, which recently decided to ditch their highly publicized Audrey internet appliance is quietly offering refunds to people who bought them. The customized Audrey web sites are no longer working making the device less useful. Considering the fact that it only worked for 6 or 7 months, and cost $500 to buy, I could understand why some folks might be pissed off and want their money back. Of course, that's assuming that anyone actually bought it in the first place. Interestingly, 3Com won't say how many people bought it - but you can assume it wasn't many since they shut it down so quickly.
