To further drive the analogy of "business is war" into the ground, 80 Wharton b-schoolers are off to basic training in Quantico, VA. There, they will learn from the Marines what it takes to be quick-thinking, tough under pressure, and decisive in the heat of battle. This sounds like a good idea in general, doesn't it? Mandatory "ass whoopings" for new business school graduates so they don't come up with silly ideas like Boo.com. I'm already somewhat dismayed by the amount of "macho'ism" already in business today. Do we really need to promote that more?"
