Gary Brown writes "How does a Dippy Bird work? is a photographic autopsy of this classic toy. Autopsy results reveal methylene chloride in the abdomen, is an industrial paint stripper and solvent. It helps makes a Dippy Bird work because it evaporates very easily -- it boils at just 100 degrees." If you thought that I had too much free time, then you've been reading the wrong site.

    Hmmm... Neither chloroform nor methlyene chloride is particularly good for your long-term health.

    But at least neither is flammable.
